Free council pension funds from fossil fuel investment

Did you know that local council pension funds invest £16 billion in oil and gas? Here in Newcastle, the tax paid by all residents to the city council goes through to the Tyne & Wear Pension Fund, and ends up being part of that huge total.

Divest Tyne & Wear is a local campaign that seeking to switch those £ millions to more sustainable projects and greener jobs.
