COP30: Newcastle Rally, Speakers, Banners

North East campaigners gathered at Newcastle Civic Centre, to join protestors around the world taking part in this year's Global Day of Action.

Their banners and placards sent urgent messages to international decision makers about to start their final days of negotiations in Brazil.

Speakers at the rally and afternoon Stalls Festival included political representatives, faith groups, trades unions, climate and environmental activists and opponents of war - hosted each time by Tony Dowling (Climate Justice Coalition - see organiser info here).
